Born in Saddlery. Crafted for Life.
A Genoese legacy. A rivet forged from the world of saddlery. Three traditions, one purpose—to create timeless goods by hand in India, one small batch at a time.
Numbered · Made to orderDenim is a contraction of serge de Nîmes — a hard twill woven in Nîmes, in the south of France. Jean comes from jean fustian, the twilled cotton of Genoa, worn by sailors because nothing else lasted.
The riveted garment came later, and elsewhere. But the rivet itself was not invented for cloth. It was harness hardware — a saddler's fastening, borrowed to hold a seam that thread alone could not.
Which means the jean has always had a saddler's hand in it. We are simply the first to admit it.
